Pesta 2006-Selangot competition was held on yesterda, 24th June 06.
"Members, kimberley n patricia msg me and said, They wanna participate during national competition!" Rei chei shouted b4 we marched out. Tears started rolling out my eyes. Kimberley's grandpa passed away and she was forced to go back to Ipoh, there goes our high tension player. Patricia got chicken pox on wednesday. There goes our bass drummer. They were waiting for us. They were praying for us. I can feel how eager were they to see us in national. Kah Sui continued "WHOS DA BEST" "CHS!' It was a good start for us as we marched out. Spirit was high.
" WHO's DA BEST?!" "CHS!" "WHOS DA BEST?!" "CHS!". It was da supperters cheers, mostly exmembers. Lines were not checked perfectly, yet, still a Block that ppl can see. Kah Sui and Rei Chei saluted to da judges. Kah Sui took his place, Rei Chei went up somewhere below da judges, not as other conductors who stand on da podium prepared. Everybody was waiting for Rei CHei.
"1-2-3-4!" and it lead to our first song, ESCORPION. Sounds quite good, yet, those darn mud were bothering everybody. Most were afraid to do Snaps or turnings with energy. Formations were not good, obviously. Everything seems to go on well until, Joanne-our bass trombonist fell down during da second song, Hall of da Mountain King. Yet, our supporters didnt give up to cheer us up. They cheered so Loud for each mace catched by Kah Sui. Yes, He was a good drum major. Riverdance, music not that impressive, but we still ended safely. Our performance was over.
"1-2-3-4! One for da MOney, two for da show, get on da bus, LETS GO!" tHere goes our percussion section's samba solo. After da march out, i can see da satisfaction in our members faces. I expected a good result. We were so happily eating breads and drinking plain waters. Everyone looked so sweaty, yet so happy:).
Results were on da judges hand. I hate stupid long speeches. Down da h0t blaring sun, and our leather shoes made it worst, my foot were so feverish!! Here goes.
"Pasukan pancaragam yang mencapai tempat ketiga ialah---" "Sekolah--Menengah--Kebangsaan---KWANG HUA". Pheww...

This time da pause was longer. I waited. No catholic pls, i beg u, nonono...
"katholik, pj!" OMG.
Rei Chei and Kah Sui dont even wanna move. "Is that us?" Kah sui asked finally. Rei Chei didnt give any reply. They remained standing. Nobody dare to accept this fact. We were hoping da MC announced wrongly. Still no one is moving. "Is there any school call Catholic meh?" Kah Sui asked, with a sonourous voice n disappointment, plus GREAT depression. They went up to take da whatever stupid things they gave. Everthing seems so heavy, da prizes, out heads, our bodies, our leg, our cowboy hat, our mouth.... accept for our tears. It was so light that it came out so automatically that we cant control. I cant accept it. Oh dear, Oh My, WHAT DA F*** IS THIS? Da saraf-saraf of my head and brain, seems to simply send impuls. So fast and so messy. I cant think. My head was so pain. Da picture in front of me started to blur. I insisted not to faint in front of da audience. I shook my head and took a deep breathe. Da distance to our bus was so long. I burst up crying half way to da bus. And i was crying da whole journey to our school in da bus. I just cant control. IT WAS MY LAST YEAR!
During da journey, i was thinking. How useless i m as a vice president. How useless committee i am. Zi yang is correct, our badge is for trainning members. 20++ new members replaced 22 great form 5s 2005. Da percentage to shoot up so high is so low, due to da useless-ness of me. May leng's badge were right, we were so useless. Those who predicted us to loose, yes, u guys were right.
This year, no picture were taken. Even of our crying face, also dont have. It was a most painful memory in my life. I was over confident and now, i ended up, as a loser.
AGM will soon arrive, but i didnt expect it to be so soon.

Start thinking all over again from the beginning, the failure this year should be a good start for other batches. If they really wanna archieve higher glory, with the standard now, is it indeed very hard and not convincing.
It's good to aim high, but always expect less to. Nobody knows Klang High would be a great competitor, did you? Neither one of us, the ex-members. It's always the team in red and blue, but ain't no copycats like them in our eyes.
In fact, you should feel happy. Even though it's an unpleasant ending of your life in band, but it is a good start for the next batch to change and improve by not obtaining the same level and the styles they have now. We shall change and follow the taste of the judges and audience.
In year 2004 and 2005, we have all been through all sorts of bitter and sweet memories, glories and disappointment. At least, all of us tried to work together towards our aims and we were the champion once. You should feel happy and proud because you were once the member of the champion band. Once a band member, always a band member.
For us, ex-members, CHSB is always a champion. I am proud and impressive to see you guys' performance without giving up and CHS spirit was still there even though there were obstacles trying to pull ya'll down.
I know it may sound lame, but, losing doesn't mean the end of everything but it's a start of another journey to success. Open your heart and accept the fact, move on with life and not looking back.

u got 2 trust us,tat we always trusted u guys so much.. Honestly,we nvr expect much from u guys,but u guys did suprised us when we saw ur performance.. Its was indeed a pleasure for everyone,who were part of chs-nian.. We were proud of u guys,everytime everywhere,no matter wat happened..
As wat lengie said,wat we treasure was d moment we gone through wif our beloved members... N tis is wat made our CHSB tat unique.. Few years later,u will nvr remember about the champion title.. Wat u n ur bandmates will chat bout during mamak time will only be d moments u all gone through.. Like funny things tat happened,who scold u,who scolded by u,and so on.. Trust me,i graduated only 1 year,but i started 2 haf tis feeling alr too.. Wat i remembered bout d champion was only my birthday and d "its d final countdown" song..
As long as u give out ur 100%,u will haf no regreats and when u were out there,u will be proud to tell ppl tat u r from CHSB,the best-est ever band in our heart..

enjoy youf final few months in band, you'll miss band life a lot aft that... ;)
